R2 Farm is a family-owned and operated farm nestled in Pinckney, Michigan. Our journey into farming began when we uncovered the harsh realities of factory farming. That discovery sparked a desire to take control of what we put on our plates—to truly understand where our food comes from and be actively involved in every step of the process.
During our research, one phrase kept resurfacing: “You are what you eat.” That simple truth inspired us to raise our animals in a clean, humane environment and to feed them as naturally and healthfully as possible. Ensuring the well-being of our animals quickly became one of our top priorities.
What we didn’t expect was how deeply we would fall in love with the lifestyle. There’s a unique sense of purpose in starting each day by caring for our animals and watching them grow. We take great pride in the work we do and the quality of the products we produce.
At R2 Farm, we practice rotational grazing, giving our animals constant access to fresh forage while supplementing their diets with non-GMO feed sourced from a small Amish farm. This approach supports both animal health and soil regeneration.
We began our journey with chickens and guinea fowl, eventually expanding to turkeys, quail, and rabbits. Today, our primary focus is on raising chickens, turkeys, quail and laying hens—always with care, respect, and a deep commitment to doing things the right way.
